Instructor – Kaprice Kea

A graduate with a B Sc (Hons) in Mathematics and Management from the University of London, Kaprice was selected for the scriptwriting course “Ecriture De Scenario” at the Academie de Paris, France in 1991.

As an “indie” writer/director, Kaprice has had a close involvement in the producing of his films. During the nineties Kaprice was a key figure on the London “indie” scene and on the Board of Directors of the New Producer's Alliance for 3 years and his significant achievement was being the architect & writer of their highly-praised Producers' Training Program (winning sponsorship from Sony). He advised hundreds of aspiring film-makers with introductions and information at his own film club Peeping Tom's (the first of its kind!). Many key industry figures came to the club to be interviewed by Kaprice, they included director Mike Leigh ( Secrets and Lies ) and producer Stephen Woolley ( The Crying Game ). The club ran for 8 years until he left to make Butterfly Man .

Kaprice has since been consulted by various entrepreneurs, lawyers, production companies exploring opportunities in international film production. Other high-profile clients include the Bank of Thailand , who has commissioned Creative Writing courses from Kaprice for their “young guns”.
