Fluid Film Co Ltd is a Bangkok-based company formed six years ago by their Managing Director, British Film-maker Kaprice Kea to service international films coming to Thailand.

With his depth of experience, Kaprice has a knack for discovering and cultivating new talent.  fluid has highly-successful reputation landing speaking roles for local actors on foreign films coming to Thailand (recent credits include Bangkok Dangerous, Rambo IV, Streetfighter, The Legend of Chun-Li, & Mammoth).  As a commitment to develop local talent, Kaprice runs regular acting and screenwriting workshops.


As Screenwriter/Director/Producer - Bangkok

A B.Sc.(Hons) graduate in Mathematics & Management from the University of London, Kaprice is an established all-round film-maker who has written, directed and "hands-on" in the production of two feature films the hurting and Butterfly Man (95 mins, 35mm. 2002).  Apart from opening on over 100 screens in Thailand via The Grammy Entertainment Group, the film sold around the world and won two awards (including Best Actress for 'Mamee' Nakprasite, who Kaprice literally found on the street in Bangkok). 

Kaprice's intention to achieve authenticity and to reveal layers of truth behind this fascinating culture is borne out by James Cameron's appraisal of Butterfly Man in Film Review magazine:  "Kea has captured the seductive diversity of this wondrous land".

fluid produced two music videos for Sony-BMG's FIFA World Cup CD - Voices and Kaprice has directed various TVCs (for brands including Nivea, Olay, UBC & Anlene)
As Screenwriter/Director/Producer - London

1991        Was selected to participate in Ecriture De Scenario, a three month screenwriting course based in Paris where he studied under many of Europe's leading technicians.

1993        Danny Boyle (Oscar winning director) who described Kaprice's first 35mm short Honeymoon Beyond on national TV as "excellent… shot with distinction, energy, commitment and vision… a real film maker."

1995         Wrote and directed his debut feature film, the award-winning, the hurting.

1993-9        Founder and host of London's first 'indie' networking club - Peeping Tom's.

1997-9        Served on the Board of Directors of The New Producers Alliance, London and was the author of their much-lauded Producers'                   Advanced Training Program, sponsored by Sony.

2000          Guest of MEDIA for their week-long assessment of the then proposed project Butterfly Man in Copenhagen - subsequently the only project of some sixty to become an actual feature film.
